Dimensional Tolerances and quality specification:



1).Cross section of square billet. : 120 X 120MM , 140 X 140MM, 90 X 90MM.



2).Dimensional Tolerances :



90 X 90MM : On side +/-3 mm ; Out-of-squareness across cross- section :+/-8 mm



120 X 120MM & 140 X 140MM: On side +/-4 mm ; Out-of-squareness across cross- section :+/-6mm



Out-of-Straightness : 20mm Max. On total length 2% max.



Billet Length: 6M or 12M



Tolerances on length: +/-50mm



3). Quality of ends: Billet ends shall be free from visible shrinkage holes, resulting from CCM flame cutting.



4). Quality of surface: Billets shall be supplied in as-cast condition. Surface shall be free from visible belts, laminations, cracks, tearings.



5). Packing:

Billets are packed in bundles with high strength steel straps and tagged with durable plastic or metallic labels bearing customer, order no., size, and steel grade and heat number.
